The Silk Cream sits in that comfortable middle ground between a lightweight gel and a heavier night cream. It has enough substance to feel genuinely nourishing but absorbs well enough that it does not sit on top of the skin or feel greasy through the day.

The formula is built around silk extracts which help smooth the skin's surface and give it that soft refined texture Tatcha is known for. It also includes the Hadasei-3 complex of green tea, rice and algae which supports the skin barrier and brings some longer term skincare benefit beyond just surface level hydration.

It works well as a daily moisturiser for normal to dry skin types and layers nicely under makeup without pilling or disrupting anything you put on top. If your skin leans oily you might find it a touch rich for everyday use though it could work well as an evening option.

With regular use skin tends to feel more comfortable and look more even and plump. It is not a treatment product in the way that a serum or mask is but it does its job consistently which is what you want from a daily moisturiser.

The 50ml size is a reasonable amount for the price point and gives you a good few months of daily use.
